This is another favorite of mine. I painted this while I was listening to Roxy Music's "Avalon". Brian Ferry's voice has a nice hypnotic effect so the brain can just relax while the hands do the work.

Maxine Helfman...
I was originally drawn to Maxine Helfman's work when I tripped across the super cool arty kids magazine called small. It had a rather macabre children's fashion photo layout and I thought she has some, for lack of a better phrase, REAL BALLS to not have children laughing... and smiling... and being told how their face should look. The rest of her work is just as intriguing with a touch of mystery to help suspend any subject she address

A little thank you…
This is a little thank you note/painting on masonite that I painted for Clive Barker. He is SUPER nice and has an amazing brain. He has been painting GIANT paintings for years and to see them up close is a whole new experience.
