La Luz De Jesus Gallery
32nd ANNUAL GROUP SHOW
March 2 – April 1, 2018
Opening Reception: Friday, March 2nd, 8-11 PM
"La Luz De Jesus Gallery proudly presents our annual
juried group exhibition, LALUZAPALOOZA. This gigantic, no-theme show
features works from some of the freshest and most relevant artists
working today. Again we sorted through tens of thousands of submissions
from commercial illustrators, graphic designers, tattooists, scenics,
students, street taggers, animators and working gallery artists. How
many will we show this year? There are 160+ pieces from 65 or so artists,
continuing the tradition of the most exclusive selection of tastefully,
jam-packed, salon-style exhibited works in Post-Pop. There are some
familiar names from our ever-growing roster of feature artists,
alongside a promising batch of previously undiscovered, emerging talent."

and over 30 of Today’s Top Tiki Artists
"The Art of Tiki is a passionate study of
the Tiki idol as an art form. For the first time, contemporary Tiki art
is united and presented equally with what inspired it, original
mid-century Polynesian pop. Author Sven Kirsten
combines his first-hand experiences in exploring the birth of Tiki style
with his intimate knowledge of the Tiki Revival, painting a vivid,
visually arresting portrait of a unique, always new art genre."
